Manchester Jazz Festival 2025: Live Sound Engineering

I recently had the pleasure of working as a sound engineer at the Manchester Jazz Festival last weekend, supporting live performances on the HOME Stage at Manchester First Street.

I teamed up with Adam Speakman, who led sound engineering for the HOME Stage, and he very kindly allowed me to get behind the sound desk. We rotated mixing duties across the weekend — I mixed for two incredible acts: the Jascha Bingham Trio and New Ways of Moving in the Counterworlds.

This was my first time in a while working on a major production, and it reminded me how much I’ve missed being behind the desk for live shows. Grateful for the chance to be part of it, and I'll definitely be back next year.
